Tawang, April 8: General Officer Commanding of IV Corps, Lt Gen Neeraj Shukla, called on Governor Lt Gen KT Parnaik at Bumla Cottage in Tawang on Wednesday and held wide-ranging discussions on troop welfare, morale, and operational preparedness.
The meeting also focused on ensuring seamless coordination between the armed forces and civil administration in the state. The Governor emphasised the need to sustain the strong and longstanding bond between the Army and local communities in Arunachal Pradesh, encouraging continued synergy between civil authorities and defence forces.
He assured that any support required by the Indian Army from the civil administration would be readily extended. Stressing the importance of collaborative initiatives, the Governor highlighted the role of the Vibrant Village Programme in strengthening infrastructure and improving the quality of life in remote border areas.
Lt Gen Shukla, who assumed command of the Corps on April 1, reaffirmed his commitment to fostering goodwill and deepening engagement with local communities, while maintaining high standards of operational readiness under his command.
