PASIGHAT, Apr 5: A free health camp was conducted at Silluk village in East Siang district by Siang Trust, benefiting residents of the village and nearby areas.
The health camp witnessed the participation of Eye Specialist Dr Beauty Borang Perme, retired Additional Directors Dr Saibal Bhattacharjee and Dr Runi Tasung, along with medical staff, supporting personnel, and representatives of Siang Trust. The camp was led by Siang Trust president, Group Captain Mohonto Panging Pao VM (Retd).
Local support was extended by GBs, Panchayat members, the village secretary, and elders of Silluk village, who assisted in the smooth conduct of the programme.
A total of 82 patients, including senior citizens, were examined during the camp. Various free medical services were provided, including blood pressure tests, blood sugar tests, HbA1C tests, ECG examinations, and distribution of free medicines.
According to a release, Siang Trust has been regularly conducting free health camps in remote villages of Arunachal Pradesh and has planned to organise similar camps in other remote areas in the future.
