ITANAGAR, May 6. In a major step toward enhancing administrative efficiency and digital governance, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services has officially become the fifth department in Arunachal Pradesh to operationalize the Single Window Clearance System (SWCS). This milestone was achieved through the successful onboarding of three critical services onto the state’s Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) portal. The newly digitized services include the Application for Fire Safety Certificate, the Application for No Objection Certificate (NOC) prior to the commencement of construction activities, and the Application for Renewal of Fire Safety Certificate, all of which are now accessible via the official portal at www.eodb.arunachal.gov.in.
To facilitate a seamless transition to the digital framework, a specialized team from the Planning & Investment Department, led by Shri Vikas Vijay, conducted comprehensive hands-on training for the officials of the Fire and Emergency Services. The training sessions, supported by EoDB Cell members Shri Nihal Pegu, Shri Ankit Kumar, and Shri Nathan Shibu John, focused on the technical operationalization of the system. This collaborative effort ensures that the departmental staff is well-equipped to process applications online, thereby reducing physical touchpoints and accelerating approval timelines for business owners and developers.
The initiative has drawn high praise from senior state officials who view this as a cornerstone of the state’s economic modernization. Shri Tabe Haidar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Arunachal Pradesh Innovation and Investment Park, extended his appreciation to the leadership of the Fire and Emergency Services, including Director Shri Chukhu Appa, IPS, SP Fire Shri John Pada, APPS, and Station Officer Shri Buru Mali. He noted that the successful integration of these services is a testament to the dedication of both the department and the EoDB technical team in creating a more investor-friendly environment in Arunachal Pradesh.
Emphasizing the importance of this digital shift, Shri Chukhu Appa, IPS, urged the citizens of the state to actively utilize the services offered under the Ease of Doing Business initiative. He highlighted that the Single Window Clearance System is designed to ensure transparent, seamless, and efficient service delivery. By migrating these essential fire safety clearances to an online format, the department is not only promoting compliance but also contributing to the broader goal of making Arunachal Pradesh a preferred destination for business and investment through streamlined regulatory processes.
